How many guesses do I get?

You start with 40 guesses. Every wrong answer costs one guess, even if the same Pokémon in the same cell was tried before.

Can I reuse the same Pokémon in multiple cells?

No. Once a Pokémon is placed correctly it is locked. Try a different Pokémon for each cell.

What do the clues mean?

Clues can be a Pokémon type (Fire, Water, Psychic…), a generation (Gen 1–9), Legendary, or Mega Evolved. A Pokémon must satisfy both the row clue and the column clue for the cell it is placed in.

How to Play PokeDoku

Tap an empty cell to open the Pokémon search panel.
Type any part of a Pokémon's name to filter results.
Select a Pokémon - if it matches both clues it is placed ✅; otherwise you lose one guess ❌.
Each Pokémon can only be used once across the entire grid.
You have 40 guesses. Use them wisely!
Fill all 9 cells correctly to win. A new puzzle drops every day.

How to Play PokeDoku
